Noriko Hayashi

Noriko  is a Japanese Documentary photographer.

She began taking photos for a local newspaper “The Point” in Gambia, west Africa while she was a undergraduate studying international relations. Working in such a low key location , she learned the value of detailing overlooked realities of everyday societies.

Visa d’Or Feature Award ’13. NPPA Best of Photojournalism- ’14. DAYS JAPAN award 1st prize in ’12 & 3rd prize in ’13 Finalist for Alexia Foundation professional grant ’13 & ’14. Selected for World Press Photo Joop Swart Masterclass-2015
